How to Edit a Workout in Nike Plus

The Nike + iPod system allows you to track your running or walking workouts with a specialized chip embedded in the soles of select Nike shoes. The chip communicates with an iPod Nano, Touch or iPhone to log your workouts. Ipod Touch and iPhone users can also edit and customize the music, playlist or distance options for their workouts. The Nike + iPod system uses the latest version of iTunes, which you can download free, directly from Apple.

Step 1

Attach your iPod Touch or iPhone to your computer with the USB cable that came with your device.

Step 2

Launch iTunes on your computer if it does not launch automatically.

Step 3

Launch the "Nike + iPod" app on your iPod Touch or iPhone. The app screen will show a list of your saved workouts.

Step 4

Tap "Edit" and select the workout you want to change. Make the desired changes to the distance, music or playlist options.

Step 5

Tap "Save" to save your changes to the device and iTunes.

Tips and Warnings

  • You can also edit your workout while your device is not connected to your computer, but it will not automatically save to iTunes on your computer. To edit your workout while disconnected, skip Steps 1 and 2.
