How to Put on Custom EST Snowboard Bindings

Burton has been around since the winter sport of snowboarding was in its infancy. Burton currently offers a plethora of snowboarding gear, including boards, outerwear, boots and bindings. The Custom EST is a signature binding model from the Burton brand. According to Burton, the Custom EST bindings feature a shock-absorbent footbed made from EVA foam. The lightweight body of the Custom EST bindings are constructed of polycarbonate. When mounting your bindings, REI recommends using a No. 3 Phillips screwdriver.

Step 1

Place your snowboard onto a flat worktable with the mounting holes facing up. Lift the padded footbeds from your Custom EST bindings. Remove the circular base plates from the bindings.

Step 2

Align your lead binding over the mounting holes located near the nose of your snowboard. Rotate the Custom EST binding to the desired angle to ensure a comfortable riding stance. Lower the circular base plate back into its original position.

Step 3

Insert the four screws of the lead binding through the base plate and into the mounting holes. Tighten the screws with your Phillips screwdriver to secure your lead binding in place. Lower the padded footbed of the binding to conceal the base plate.

Step 4

Align your second Custom EST binding over the mounting holes located near the tail of the snowboard. Lower the base plate into position and tighten the mounting screws. Lower the padded footbed to complete the installation process.
