TCBY stands for the The Country's Best Yogurt. Today, TCBY is a national brand that serves soft-serve frozen yogurt, hand-scooped frozen yogurt, smoothies, frozen drinks, cakes and pies. The company has renovated its stores and changed its smoothie recipes. Mondo Mango is part of TCBY's new smoothie line-up and features a refreshing tropical flavor.

The Basics

TCBY rebranded its smoothies as Beriyo, which is a combination of berry and yogurt. The low-fat Beriyo smoothies are designed to appeal to customers who want health beverages or snacks during the morning or early afternoon. Although TCBY initially started out with only a few smoothie flavors, it now serves 16 flavors. Beriyo's flavors range from berry to tropical.

The Mondo Mango combines mango and creamy dairy flavors together in a smoothie. Unlike other tropical flavored Beriyo smoothies, Mondo Mango does not contain additional fruits like bananas or pineapples.

Fruit Ingredients and Sweeteners

The first two main ingredients in a Mondo Mango smoothie are ice and mango juice. The mango juice is made up of water, corn syrup, sugar, concentrated mango puree and citric acid. Mangos are also added to the smoothie.

The Mondo Mango smoothie uses a variety of sweeteners. The mango juice has both corn syrup and sugar as sweeteners. This smoothie also contains condensed skim milk, sugar and corn syrup for extra sweetness. Vanilla extract, natural cream flavor and other flavors are also added.

Dairy Ingredients

In addition to condensed skim milk, the Mondo Mango smoothie also contain whole milk, skim milk and milk cultured with live active cultures. These yogurt cultures give yogurt its distinctive taste and health benefits. A Beriyo smoothie contains six live and active cultures: B. lactis, L. acidophilus, L. bulgaricus, L. lactis, L. casei, S. thermophilus and L. rhamnosus.
