SlimQuick 7-Day Gentle Cleanse is a detoxification product of SlimQuick Laboratories. The formulation of the SlimQuick 7-day Gentle Cleanse includes a blend of herbal products, such as glucomannan root, green tea extract and senna. The manufacturer claims that these ingredients work together to support metabolism, eliminate toxins, cleanse the colon and regulate blood-glucose levels. Instructions
Four capsules are ingested twice daily, once with breakfast and again with dinner. The capsules are consumed with at least 8 oz. of fluids to prevent choking. During the seven-day cleansing period, SlimQuick recommends drinking 10 8-oz. glasses of water to assist with the cleansing process. Consumption of the capsules does not last longer than seven days.
Diet Recommendations
In addition to ingesting the SlimQuick 7-Day Gentle Cleanse capsules, SlimQuick Laboratories also suggests incorporating regular physical activity into your daily routine and consuming a nutritious diet of between five and six small meals. The meals consist of a large amount of protein, moderate amounts of carbohydrates and minimal amounts of fat.
Cleansing Ingredients
Senna, green tea extract and glucomannan root are active ingredients in these products. Senna is a stimulant laxative that stimulates the intestinal tract to encourage regular bowel movements. Green tea extract contains antioxidants, known as polyphenols, which neutralize harmful free radicals and prevent them from causing cellular damage. Free radicals are toxic substances that occur naturally through metabolic processes and may also be introduced into the body via the environment, such as air pollution or smoking. Glucomannan is a type of soluble fiber, derived from the root of the konjac plant, which is supposed to cleanse the colon and alleviate symptoms of digestive complications such as constipation.
Considerations
The ingredients contained in the SlimQuick 7-Day Gentle Cleanse product may have adverse side effects. Senna, for instance, may interact with blood thinning or diuretic medications and induce diarrhea, dehydration, joint pain, nausea or low levels of blood potassium. It may also worsen an electrolyte imbalance due to diarrhea and dehydration. Green tea extract contains caffeine, which may worsen anxiety and sleep disorders. Furthermore, cleansing supplements may be unnecessary.
