How to Make Facial Hair Vanish

Facial hair grows on men and women. Men tend to have darker and more prominent hair and they sometimes grow it to be fashionable. Women, on the other hand, are often victimized by patches of hair that appear from out of nowhere. When they turn dark and become thick, it can cause self-consciousness. Whether you are male or female, there are ways to make the hair permanently and temporarily vanish.

Step 1

Get electrolysis if you are a man or woman. This is a treatment where a professional will insert a needle into your hair follicles. An electric charge then gets sent to the tip and the hair root gets killed. The hairs then fall out and do not come back.

Step 2

Get laser hair removal treatments. In this procedure, the melanin in your skin gets targeted with the laser. This is the substance that gives color to your hair. The follicles are killed and the hair falls out as a result. This can be done if you are a man or woman.

Step 3

Use a flexible triple-blade razor to shave your face if you are a man. Wash your skin and leave it wet. Apply shaving cream and place the razor blade gently against your skin. Take short, smooth strokes to remove the facial hair. Wash your face when you are done and put on a moisturizing cream to keep your skin soft.

Step 4

Use tweezers if you are a woman and only have a small patch of hair. Pull your skin taut with the hair that you want to remove in-between your fingers. Grab the hair close to your skin with the tweezers and pull straight out. Do not pull the hairs in a yanking fashion, as this can cause them to break off.

Step 5

Use wax if you are female. Apply the wax to the area of hair that you want removed. Let is set and flatten out a cloth strip on top of it. Apply pressure to your skin right above the strip with one hand and grab the edge of it with your other hand. Make a fast, downward motion and pull the strip off of your face. Continue in all the areas where you have hair.

Step 6

Use a depilatory if you are a woman. Wash your face with warm water and apply the depilatory cream to the area where you have hair. Let it set for as long as the manufacturer recommends. Take a damp wash cloth and wipe the hair and cream off your face. Move the cloth against the grain.

Tips and Warnings

  • Be on guard that electrolysis and laser hair removal can take several weeks and several treatments before they become effective. But when they do, your hair removal can be permanent. Triple-blade flexible razors follow the contours of your face.
