1. The Impact of Stress
Stress can be caused by a wide range of circumstances; physical, psychological or emotional and mental stress are all a part of the human condition. The strain and the impact of stress on your health and well-being is generally the same, no matter the type of stress. Stress symptoms of any origin can give all aspects of your individual a challenging time; amazingly, the entire body is susceptible to the effects of the symptoms of stress.
2. Mind/Body Effects
Psychological and emotional effects of stress are very closely attached to the physical symptoms of stress. For example, a headache or a lower threshold for pain (both physical complaints often caused by stress) can lead to emotional and psychological pain; feelings of anxiety or insecurity, even plain old frustration can be clear indicators that stress is present.
3. Mimic Symptoms
A particularly restless night or a sudden break-out of acne does not always have to mean that you are manifesting stress symptoms. If these kinds of experiences are recurring or chronic, or if they become so severe that they interfere with your daily goings-on, then they may warrant a second look.
4. Restlessness
A case of the jitters that lasts several days or a few sleepless nights in a row may be symptoms of stress. Sometimes, the brain is so burdened by the weight of the stress, it can't function normally; this state of mind is rarely conducive to proper and sufficient rest. Restlessness at night can interfere with sleep, an essential component of a healthy lifestyle.
5. Mood Swings
Are you feeling unusually overwhelmed? Are you more irritable than usual? Have you been overreacting in a manner so obvious there's no denying it? Mood swings are another clear indicator of stress that can often sneak up on you. Often, there may be other reasons explaining it but again, repeat incidents or a feeling like you've always felt this way when you know for a fact that you haven't may mean you are experiencing symptoms of stress.
