The human body contains seven chakras, each connected to a specific organ or gland that is aligned with the spinal column. They are invisible vortexes of activity that radiate on a vibrational level, resonating energy that is either positive or negative. The chakras reflect not only your mental health, but also your physical health. Therefore, keeping them fine-tuned is important to your overall well-being. It might sound complicated, but tuning your chakras is actually very simple, and afterward, you'll feel more relaxed and energized.

Step 1

Place your exercise mat on the floor and your tuning forks beside it so that they are easy to reach. Lie on your back on the mat.

Step 2

Take the tuning fork designated for the first chakra, the base/root, and tap it on the floor beside you.

Step 3

Hold the fork a few inches above your pelvis as the fork vibrates. Wait for a few seconds.

Step 4

Circle the fork in a clockwise motion several times, keeping it above your pelvis. Place the fork down beside you.

Step 5

Repeat Steps 2 to 4 using the other tuning forks for the other chakras on the body. Move upward, one chakra at a time, from the base/root to the sacral/spleen, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye/brow and crown.

Tips and Warnings

  • Because of your body positioning, you might feel awkward performing chakra tuning on yourself. If this is true for you, you can have a friend do it for you.

Things You'll Need

  • Set of seven chakra tuning forks (each fork corresponds to a specific chakra)
