One cup of shredded mozzarella contains more than 80 percent of the recommended 1,000 mg of calcium most adults need daily. Calcium helps you build strong bones and teeth. Shredded, part-skim mozzarella also offers 584 international units of vitamin A, 0.4 mg of riboflavin and 2.6 mcg of vitamin B-12. It is minor source of vitamins E and K, thiamin, B-6, folate, iron, potassium and magnesium.
