Anemia is a disease condition in which your body does not produce enough healthy blood cells to provide oxygen to vital tissues. Without proper oxygenation, many of your body's functions are retarded. Anemia can be brought on by several causes including medication, pregnancy, blood loss and hypothyroidism. Some studies have shown that by ingesting kyolic garlic, also know as aged garlic extract, you can reduce the number of Heinz bodies. Heinz bodies are blood inclusions that are indicative of red blood cell malformation, which is most common in cycle cell type anemia. Reducing the number of Heinz bodies means an increase in healthy red blood cells and a reduction in anemic symptoms.

Step 1

Contact your doctor and inform him of your intention to use garlic extract. Talk about any possible health complications and set up regular visits during the treatment.

Step 2

Ingest 5 mL of the aged garlic extract twice daily for one month. If you experience any adverse symptoms or if the normal symptoms of anemia increase in intensity, stop taking the extract and contact your health provider immediately.

Step 3

Visit your doctor after one month and request Heinz body and red blood cell count tests on your blood in addition to standard blood tests. Talk with your doctor about the results and follow his recommendations regarding continuation of treatment.

Things You'll Need
