Training muscular endurance every day might not be the best way to reach your fitness goals. While you can train muscular endurance every day, training that way interferes with a complete training program that develops overall fitness while improving muscular endurance.

Physical Skills

While muscular endurance is the focus of your workout program, several other physical skills play an essential role in your overall fitness and muscular endurance. These skills include cardiorespiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. Neglecting any one of these physical skills will decrease your muscular endurance and the effectiveness of your muscular endurance workouts.

Training Elements

The muscular endurance workouts could be your favorite workouts during the week, but there are other workouts that must be performed for a complete training program. MayoClinic.com suggests that a rounded routine includes aerobic exercise, strength and core training, flexibility stretches and balance training. Each component must be trained throughout the week in combination with your muscular endurance workouts.

Workout Schedule

A sample workout schedule rotates through various exercises and workout routines throughout the week. For example, aerobic exercise should be performed for at least two hours and 30 minutes while strength-training workouts should take place at least two times per week. Within this workout schedule, you can add two muscular endurance workouts between the cardio and strength-training workouts.

Warning

By training muscular endurance every day, you are increasing the potential for over-training and injuries. The over-training and injuries are a result of the repetitive motions that can strain your muscles. Mixing up your workouts, however, with a mix of aerobic, strength-training and muscular endurance, decreases your injury potential while improving muscular endurance and overall fitness.
