Weight-loss partners provide a built-in support system as you aim to shed pounds. Because most people spend the majority of the day at work, teaming up with colleagues to lose weight is often a logical choice. The time you spend together at work allows you to serve as cheerleaders and support to one another should someone feel like cheating on his diet. Involving a large number of colleagues helps improve the overall health of the staff, while providing an even larger weight-loss support network.

Step 1

Talk to your colleagues to find out if anyone else has weight-loss goals. Discuss your goals and how you could support one another at the office.

Step 2

Set up a weight-loss challenge with your colleagues who want to participate if you want a bit of competition for encouragement. Consider asking everyone to chip in 10 to 20 dollars with the winner at the end of the challenge going home with the pot.

Step 3

Eat lunch together with your weight-loss buddies at the office. Encourage one another to make healthy lunch choices, whether you bring your own lunches or dine out. Share healthy lunch ideas during lunch break.

Step 4

Walk together during your breaks, either through the halls at the office or outside. If your company has a gym in the building, meet there before or after work or during your lunch breaks to exercise together. Meet in an empty conference room for a quick aerobics workout if a gym isn't available.

Step 5

Join an exercise class or gym with your colleagues. Meet there outside of work hours to encourage one another to get enough exercise.

Step 6

Meet at the water cooler or in the break room to fill up your water bottles. Give one another support at these meetings, especially if one of you is having a bad day with dieting or exercise motivation.

Step 7

Bring healthy snacks to share with one another, especially on an office food day when you are likely to have many unhealthy food choices tempting you.
