Getting enough phosphorus helps balance the amount of other vitamins and minerals in your body. A phosphorus deficiency is rare, but might cause fatigue, weakness, bone problems, trouble breathing and growth issues.

Uses for Turkey Bacon

Turkey bacon can be used in most recipes that call for regular bacon. Add fried or grilled slices with tomato and lettuce to create a sandwich, or add it to burgers. Crumbled turkey bacon is a good addition to bean soup, chowder, salads, baked potatoes and vegetable side dishes. Use bacon to make gravy or salad dressing, or add it to frittatas and quiche, as well as stuffing, pasta or cornbread.
