Bratwurst is a large, highly spiced sausage traditionally made from pork. Turkey bratwurst provide the flavor and experience of eating bratwurst with 80 percent less fat than other sausage. Although brats are most often grilled, they can be prepared in an oven if a grill is not available. Broiling turkey bratwurst will cook them quickly; however they will need to be watched carefully. All ovens differ slightly in their broiling temperature and sausage links could burn quickly.

Step 1

Remove plastic wrapping from package of bratwurst.

Step 2

Adjust rack of oven to place rack 7 to 9 inches below heat source. Turn oven to broil.

Step 3

Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Place sausage links onto greased baking sheet.

Step 4

Place baking sheet into heated oven and cook for approximately 8 minutes. Slide rack out of oven using oven mitts, turn bratwurst links with tongs and return to oven. Continue cooking for an additional 8 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
