Bake a frozen pie in the oven for a no-fuss dessert in a hurry. Frozen pies come in many varieties, from cherry to pumpkin. There is no need to thaw the pie before baking. Goold Orchards states that frozen fruit pies are done to perfection when the middle of the top crust is still firm to the touch, while uncovered pies like pumpkin are done when a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean.

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.

Step 3

Place the pie on the cookie sheet and slide the sheet onto the top oven rack.

Step 4

Bake the pie for 20 minutes. Check it to see if the crust is becoming too brown. If it is, cover it with aluminum foil.

Step 5

Turn the heat down to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Rotate the pie on the cookie sheet and bake it for an additional 30 to 40 minutes. The pie is done when the edges bubble and the crust is golden brown.
