Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs are trademarked, dance-oriented fitness programs offered by Beachbody LLC, a Santa Monica, California-based fitness and dietary supplement company. Both programs are the inventions of fitness experts and choreographers: Turbo Jam by Chalene Johnson and Hip Hop Abs by Shaun Thompson, better known as "Shaun T." Hip Hop Abs, in particular, is so named because of its primary focus on strengthening the abdominal muscles. Beachbody makes each program available as a DVD package.
Main Workout DVDs
Each Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs package comes with a certain number of main workout DVDs. Turbo Jam comes with five DVDs. It features the pounds-burning "Learn & Burn;" the muscle-toning "Turbo Sculpt;" calorie-blasting "Cardio Party;" the abdominal muscle-focused "Ab Jam;" and the "20-Minute Workout." With more of an ab focus than Turbo Jam, it's no surprise that two of Hip Hop Abs' four DVDs concern gut flattening: "Secrets to Flat Abs" and "Ab Sculpt." The other DVDs are the appropriately named "Fat Burning Cardio" and "Total Body Burn."
Easy-to-Use Tools
Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs come with easy-to-use tools to track workout results. Included in each package are 24/7 online support from the creators themselves and fellow enthusiasts, and step-by-step guide that focuses on weight loss via diet plans. Turbo Jam also offers the "Elite 11" flash cards for quick access to the program's routines. Hip Hop Abs offers a 30-day workout calender and a measurement card and tape measure.
Bonus Features
Also included with the Turbo Jam and Hip Hop Abs packages are bonus materials, which, at the time of publication, have a value of $70 and $120, respectively. With Turbo Jam, customers get two bonus DVDs. You'll receive the meal plan-based "Turbo Slim Rapid Results Program" and the super-intense "Punch, Kick & Jam," as well as a pair of Turbo Sculpting Gloves to use with the latter. Hip Hop Abs' bonus material consists of "Hips, Buns, and Thighs" for problem areas, "Results on the Run Diet Guide" for maintaining healthy body weight while eating at fast food restaurants, the waist slimming-focused "6-Day SlimDown plan" and "Learn to Dance!", which features two hip hop dance routines.
