1. Science, Diet and the Brain
Science has proven that a picture of food is enough to stimulate the brain to hunger for it. Is it any wonder that advertisers choose to put that fat juicy steak on the screen? If visualization can help make us hungry, then the same can be true to decrease the hunger. The See Food Diet allows you to see what is in the food and different activities that burn off the calories. The old joke, "I'm on a see food diet--when I see food I eat it," is no longer valid.
2. Out of Sight, Out of Mind
You can keep the offending foods out of sight so that you won't be tempted. Again, how many times have you not been hungry, only to walk through the grocery store and develop a ravenous appetite? If you keep wholesome lower calorie products available for your view, your diet has a fighting chance.

If you eat one slice of a Super Supreme Pizza Hut Pizza with a regular crust and weigh 120 lbs., you have to clean the house for two hours and 17 minutes to burn off the calories you consumed. If you avoid the pizza, however, it does not clean the house. Oh darn. This gives you one idea of what it takes to burn what you eat. You have to work out at the gym for one hour and two minutes for the same slice of pizza. Understanding calorie burn rates also changes the way you look at food.

Visualizing the amount of protein, fat, carbohydrates and nutrients that are in each item that you eat aids in the appreciation of the food or the total disgust. Read the ingredients on the package and if you don't know what the word means, maybe you shouldn't eat it. Your focus on visualization can help you see the good foods and the bad ones.
5. Retrain the Brain for Permanent Weight Loss
Most permanent weight loss comes from attaining permanent changes in attitude about food. When you change your mind you change the stimulus for eating. If you ever became ill from a favorite food, you probably don't find it a favorite anymore since the mind has a new image of the food. You can use the science that creates the hunger to your advantage. Hide the food for a while that you love until you find a way to end the romance.
