Every year, you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit reporting bureaus: Experian, TransUnion and Equifax. That being said, you still have to request these reports from each agency. If you don't wish to input your personal information online, you can write each of the agencies and request a copy of your report from them. This is beneficial if you need a hard copy of your report for a job or just wish to have one for your records.
Step 1
Contact Experian by writing a letter to Experian, 701 Experian Parkway, Allen, TX 75013. You should receive a copy of your credit report within a few weeks.
Step 2
Contact TransUnion by writing a letter to TransUnion, 2 Baldwin Place, P.O. Box 2000, Chester, PA 19022. So long as you haven't requested another credit report this year, you will be sent one within a few weeks for free.
Step 3
Contact Equifax by writing a letter to Equifax Credit Information Services Inc., P.O. Box 740241, Atlanta, GA 30374. Check your mailbox in a few weeks for your free credit report.
