Foods for Faster Growing Hair

The popularity of extensions is a clear indicator that long hair tends to be a much sought-after feature. Although there is no magic potion or sure-fire recipe, one can assist the hair-growing process with proper nutrition. By eating certain foods that promote faster, healthier hair growth, you will notice a marked difference in your locks within a couple of months.

Fish

The omega-3 fatty acids in fish make it one of the most well-known ingredients of a healthy hair diet. The fatty acids help keep the scalp healthy by encouraging blood circulation. It is recommended that you add one to three tablespoons of ground flaxseed to your meals throughout the day to enjoy its benefits. Cashews, almonds and peanuts also contain zinc, which helps prevent shedding and hair loss. Walnuts help to condition hair via its high levels of alpha-linolenic acid.
