The Effects of Taking Birth Control in Large Quantities Early on in Pregnancy

Taking birth control early on in a pregnancy does not increase the risk of birth defects. However, taking large quantities of birth control pills can terminate a pregnancy. It can also lead to low birth weight, premature delivery, and underdeveloped sexual organs in a female baby.
