Lofibra Side Effects

Lofibra is one of the brand names of fenofibrate, a medicine designed to help decrease the amount of triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) in the blood. Triglycerides are a type of fat while LDL is known as the bad cholesterol because it tends to stick to arterial passageways. By decreasing cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the bloodstream, Lofibra also may be used to prevent pancreatitis, also known as pancreatic inflammation. Other brand names for fenofibrate include Triglide, Antara, Tricor, Fenoglide and Lipofen.
