Acne is a skin condition characterized by inflammatory pustules. It occurs when the sebaceous glands in the skin produce too much oil which blocks the pores. Severe cases of acne can result in deep scars that may require medical treatment. Mild acne scars can also be faded with home remedies that affect only the upper layers of skin.

Step 1

Clean your skin. Use a mild soap to remove any dirt, makeup and oil.

Step 2

Use lemon juice to fade acne scars. Slice a lemon and squeeze the juice in a bowl. Add a cup of water to the bowl and mix it thoroughly with the lemon juice. Soak a washcloth in the lemon juice solution and wring it out so that it’s moist but not dripping wet. Press the washcloth against your skin for a few minutes. Repeat this procedure each day.

Step 3

Fade acne scars with vitamin E. Rub vitamin E oil into the acne scar at least once each day. Dermatologists recommend vitamin E for a variety of skin problems, including acne scars. Vitamin E oil is available at grocery stores and beauty shops.

Step 4

Perform treatments with olive oil. Rub pure olive oil into the scarred skin four to five times each day. Frequent applications of olive oil can help repair the skin damage caused by acne. Pure olive oil is available at grocery stores.

Step 5

Apply oil from rosehip seeds. Rub rosehip seed oil into your skin twice a day. This will require regular use to fade the acne scars gradually. Rosehip seed oil is available at beauty and health stores.
