No matter how much we try to stop it, our breasts will sag with age, hormone fluctuations such as pregnancy, and with rapid weight loss. Loose skin often accompanies sagging of the breasts, since skin serves to naturally support breasts. When elasticity is lost in the skin, the skin becomes loose, and breasts tend to migrate farther south. There are several ways to correct this and improve the look of your breasts.
Step 1
Apply moisturizer to your breasts daily. Moisturizers with Vitamin E and alpha-hydroxy acids are ideal for breast skin. Vitamin E supports skin health and helps rebuild collagen in the skin that keeps it tight. Alpha-hydroxy acids exfoliate the skin and tighten pores, helping firm the skin to eliminate looseness.
Step 2
Exercise your chest daily. This will tone the muscle behind your breasts and help reduce loose skin and sagging. Lifting light weights or doing low-impact cardio workouts are ideal.
Step 3
Apply cold packs to the breasts. Cold packs will increase circulation, promoting the skin to firm and step up collagen production. Massaging afterward can help boost the effectiveness of the cold packs.
Step 4
Drink at least eight glasses of water daily. This will keep your skin moist and plump, eliminating sagging and loose skin with hydration.
Step 5
Consult your plastic surgeon to decide if surgical or noninvasive office procedures can benefit your personal situation. Surgical practices such as breast lift and augmentation can eliminate loose skin, but laser resurfacing is non-invasive and may give you the same results.
