There are many teeth whitening products on the market today, but most over the counter and professional teeth whitening products do not work on false teeth. As an alternative to expensive replacement, here is an easy at home way to clean, disinfect, remove plaque and whiten your false teeth in one easy to prepare solution.
Step 1
Mix your three ingredients in the following ratio. Start with 12 parts water for a well-diluted solution. Add 1 part household bleach for whitening and disinfecting. Add 1 part white vinegar, which greatly increases the disinfecting power of the bleach. Finally, add 1 part water softener, the calcium-chelating properties of which contribute tartar removal power to your solution.
Step 2
Soak false teeth in the solution for 15 minutes. Allowing teeth to soak in solution containing vinegar for longer than this may result in corrosion.
Step 3
Remove false teeth from the solution and rinse thoroughly under running water for 1 full minute. Once all solution has been removed, you may use your clean and whitened false teeth as directed by your dentist.
