How to Lose Cellulite on Thighs Quickly

Cellulite is a substance that forms under the skin caused by a build-up of trapped fat and waste products. The thighs are one of the most common places for it to develop, and although it is not hazardous to your health, the cottage cheese-like appearance that it gives off can make you feel self-conscious. Removing cellulite completely is not possible. But you can make it way less noticeable by following some key steps.

Step 1

Restructure your diet to include nothing but healthy foods. Avoid foods that are high in sodium, sugar and saturated fat like deep-fried foods, cakes, candy, ice cream, fast food, commercial baked goods and processed meats. Eat foods that are nutrient dense like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and beans. Choose fruits and vegetables that are high in vitamin C which is an antioxidant that can help remove toxins from your body. Oranges, grapefruits, red peppers, tomatoes, cauliflower and kiwis are examples.

Step 2

Give up the caffeinated beverages and flush your system out with water. Aim for 2 to 3 liters day. This will also keep you hydrated.

Step 3

Attend yoga classes to improve your circulation and strength levels. You can also get a DVD and practice yoga at home.

Step 4

Partake in some form of cardiovascular exercise to increase your circulation and to burn fat cells. Do something that puts a high amount of emphasis on your thighs like running, walking up hills, spinning, stair climbing or rowing. Do 45 to 60 minutes of cardio three times a week on alternating days.

Step 5

Build up your thigh muscles to increase your metabolism and make your skin more taut. Do exercises like squats, step-ups, leg presses and lunges. Perform 10 to 12 reps with the heaviest weights you can handle and do three to four sets. Work out three times a week on the alternating days of your cardio.

Step 6

Consult with a cosmetic surgeon to get endermologie treatments. With this procedure, the surgeon will run a roller across the skin on your thighs. Suction is created, circulation is stimulated and the skin becomes symmetrical. This is an FDA-approved treatment for cellulite.
