How to Rejuvenate the Skin

Your skin is constantly affected by environmental pollutants, artificial chemicals from the food you eat and stress. Your skin is also subjected to the natural process of aging. As you age, wrinkles, fine lines and discoloration start to appear, causing your skin to look lifeless and dull. Fortunately, clear and beautiful skin is not hard to achieve.

Step 1

Wash your face with a high-quality facial cleanser every morning to rejuvenate your skin. There are innumerable facial cleansers you can purchase at any large chain drugstore. High-quality cleansers include Neutrogena facial cleanser and Cetaphil facial cleanser. Apply the cleanser to your face and leave it for one minute; then wash it off with warm water. Avoid using antibacterial soaps because they can cause your skin to dry out.

Step 2

Rejuvenate your skin by exfoliating it with an exfoliating cream. These creams can help remove the dead surface skin cells and replace them with new cells. You can choose from a wide array of exfoliating creams available at all leading drugstores. Ask the pharmacist to help you choose the best cream for your skin type.

Step 3

Apply moisturizing lotion to your skin after exfoliating it. An all-natural moisturizer containing aloe vera gel or cocoa butter is preferable. These lotions help keep your skin moist and prevent wrinkles and fine lines. Avoid purchasing moisturizers with fragrances, as they can cause allergies, especially if your skin is sensitive.

Step 4

Apply sunscreen to your skin every day to help protect it from the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays. Sunscreens are available in the form of sprays, lotions and creams. Make sure to purchase sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of over 35. Apply it 30 minutes before going outdoors and reapply it every four hours for all-day protection.
