Weight Watchers produces electronic food scales meant to work along with its Weight Watchers diet and nutrition program. Most electronic food scales will display weights in either Imperial measurements (ounces and pounds) or metric measurements (grams and kilograms). Usually, switching from one measuring system to the other is as simple as pushing a button, and in some cases you might not need to do anything at all--some scales measure in grams by default.
Step 1
Turn the scale on.
Step 2
Check the units designation, which is above the current weight display (which should start at 0). If there is a small "g" displayed above the 0, the scale is already measuring in grams.
Step 3
Press the "g/oz" button once, if you see "oz" displayed above the 0. This should switch the scale from Imperial to metric. You can verify this by looking for the "g" which should now be displayed above the 0 readout.
