If you are concerned about getting the seasonal flu you may be considering getting vaccinated. However, there may be some side effects from the vaccine. Side Effects from the Flu Shot
If you receive the inactive flu shot you may experience pain, tenderness, redness or swelling near the area of the shot. In addition you may develop a low-grade fever and general body aches. These symptoms can occur immediately after getting the shot and can last for up to two days.
Side Effects From the Nasal Mist
If you receive the nasal mist you may develop mild flu-like symptoms. This includes a runny nose, fever, chills, cough, vomiting, headache, sore throat and general muscle aches.
Severe Side Effects
The Centers for Disease Control state that in rare cases you may have an allergic reaction to the vaccine. This is a concern especially for those who are allergic to eggs since they are used when making the flu vaccine
