The corpora cavernosa muscle is the part of a penis' anatomy that contains the blood once erection is achieved. Erection occurs as testosterone levels increase, triggering blood to fill the corpora cavernosa during arousal. Exercising this muscle can give men a non-invasive approach to ED, or erectile dysfunction. It can also naturally increase penis size for those who feel somewhat inadequate and may, as a result, have low self-esteem.
Step 1
Place your thumb at the bottom of the penis shaft, and your forefinger at the top, joining the two in a circle around the base of the penis. Using light pressure, move your hand up the shaft, stopping at the base of the head. Switch hands, repeating the process as many times as you like. This form of exercise is known as Jelqing.
Step 2
Perform Kegel exercises. Stop urination mid-stream during a bathroom visit. You will feel the muscle responsible for cutting off urination--also called the BC muscle--constrict. Once you are comfortable with this feeling, tighten and release the muscle several times during the day. This does not require urination.
Step 3
Sit in a chair with a slight lean. Take the area behind the head of your erect penis between your thumb and index finger. Pull lightly down towards the shaft, stretching it as far as you can without discomfort. Perform Kegel exercises, tightening your BC muscle while stretching the area with your hand. Hold for 10 seconds and then release your BC muscle, keeping the area behind the penis stretched. Repeat for 20 repetitions, gradually increasing the pull of resistance.
Step 4
Tighten your BC muscle during sex to hold back ejaculation. This will build stamina and lengthen the corpora cavernosa. In order to prepare your penis for this, once fully erect, massage the head, shaft, scrotum and groin. This will increase blood flow, causing higher sensitivity. Once you feel impending ejaculation, tighten your BC muscle to hold it back. This should be done three to five times before allowing full ejaculation.
Tips and Warnings
- When performing exercises, you can use lubricating oils or lotions to decrease risk of injury.
