Side Effects of the Medicine Lotrel for High Blood Pressure

Lotrel is the brand name of a combination of benazepril and amlodipine, medicines used in the treatment of hypertension, or high blood pressure. Benazepril is known as an ACE, or an angiotensin-converting enzyme, inhibitor that helps prevent the constriction of blood vessels. This helps blood to flow more easily and eases the burden on the heart. Amlodipine is a kind of a medication called a calcium channel blocker that also relaxes your blood vessels.
