Do it Yourself Wrinkle Lotion

Costly over-the-counter lotions and creams may not give you the results you want on your aging skin. Wrinkle treatment requires more than the standard exfoliation and moisturizer. Making your own wrinkle treatments at home can give you the added benefits of using natural ingredients while cutting down on cost. Make use of the many herbs, vegetables and fruits that nourish your skin and repair wrinkles.

Step 1

Melt 1 tbsp. lanolin in a double boiler on a low heat setting. This will prevent scorching and burning.

Step 2

Add 2 tsp. sweet almond oil to the melted lanolin, and blend well using a wire whisk.

Step 3

Add 2 tsp. water and remove mixture from heat. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature.

Step 4

Stir in 2 tsp. cod liver oil, making sure it is well blended.

Step 5

Pour mixture into a lidded jar and store in the refrigerator. Use lotion in the morning and night time before bed for best results.

Tips and Warnings

  • Fresh fruits, such as avocado, banana and strawberries, applied to your face daily will help boost the effectiveness of your moisturizer. Take vitamin E supplements daily to fight wrinkles from the inside out.
