How to Put Together a Reebok 125 AXB Weight Bench

The Reebok 125 AXB weight bench is an exercise machine used for strength training with dumbbells, plates and a barbell. It has a weight rest that you can put a barbell on and a weight tube that can hold plates to add resistance to leg exercises such as leg extensions and hamstring curls. The machine is fairly easy to assemble by two people. Put the weight bench together in the place that you plan to use it to ensure there is enough room for it and that you can get it fully assembled into place.
The manual says that you do not need any additional tools to assemble the bench, but a set of sockets or ratchet wrenches will make the job easier.

Step 1

Attach a small foot using two M4 x 16 mm screws to both the right and left upright. Place the upright on the floor standing up. Attach the upright to the crossbar using two M8 nylon locknuts and two M8 x 80 mm bolts per side. Leave the locknuts loose for now.

Step 2

Attach the large foot to the frame using two M4 x 16 mm screws. Use two M8 nylon locknuts, two M8 washers and two M8 x 70 mm bolts to attach the frame extension to the frame. Leave the locknuts loose for now.

Step 3

Attach the frame extension to the crossbar on the upright. Use three M8 nylon locknuts, three M8 washers and three M8 x 80 mm bolts. Leave the locknuts loose for now.

Step 4

Place the ends of the backrest rod on the top of the lowest brackets on the upright, and line up the pins with the holes so the rod is secure. Tighten all the locknuts used in the previous steps.

Step 5

Put the bumper and frame together using an M4 x 16 mm screw.

Step 6

Use the grease in the grease packet to lubricate one M8 x 80 mm bolt. Save some grease. Use the bolt and a nylon locknut to affix the leg lever to the frame. Test that the leg lever can pivot, and loosen the locknut if it cannot pivot.

Step 7

Slide the weight tube into the leg lever. Secure it with an M8 x 60 mm bolt, a locknut and a spacer.

Step 8

Slide a pad tube into the frame, and slide two foam pads onto the sides of the tube. Secure the pads with a pad cap on each end.

Step 9

Place the backrest on top of the backrest frames, and put them together with four screws and washers, but leave the screws loose. Use the grease to lubricate an M10 x 190 mm bolt. Use the bolt, two washers and a locknut to finish securing the backrest to the frames. Tighten the screws now.

Step 10

Secure the seat and the frame together using two M6 screws and washers.

Step 11

Adjust the height of the weight rests as high as you want them, and secure them in place above the upright with the adjustment knobs.
