Curves is a franchise that operates circuit training workout facilities for women. Curves has recently expanded their brand to include weight loss plan options. To sign up for the Curves Diet, you can make arrangements to meet with a nutritionist at one of the Curves locations or join the website to access online tools to help you follow the diet. Speak to your doctor if you are evaluating the Curves Diet.
Step 1
Look at the diet options. The Curves Diet has two programs: the carbohydrate sensitive eating plan or the calorie sensitive plan. On the calorie sensitive plan, you will be permitted more carbs than the carbohydrate sensitive version. On the calorie restricted plan, you can have 40 to 60 carb grams daily while the carbohydrate sensitive version is allowed 20 grams.
Step 2
Evaluate the foods you will be eating. Both plans emphasize a high protein and low carb diet. Protein sources should be from meal replacement bars, lean meats and protein shakes. There are also "free foods" you are allowed an unlimited amount. These foods include rhubarb, club soda, coffee, lettuce, spinach, mushrooms and cranberries.
Step 3
Review the calorie restrictions. The Curves Diet is separated into three phases over a 30 day period. Although the carb plan does not have these limitations, for the calorie sensitive version, you will be expected to stay under 1600 calories for part of the diet before being permitted to consume 2500 to 3000 calories a day for maintenance.
Step 4
Consider the cost. Part of the Curves Diet is the recommendation of joining the Curves gym. Paying the monthly membership might not be within your budget. Curves Diet recommends three days of week of 30 minute circuit training sessions.
