How to Change a Digital WW Scale to Grams

Digital Weight Watchers food scales weigh your food out in either grams or ounces. They also have an array of special features, including the ability to calculate how many points a given meal is worth---sometimes including your own recipes. But before those special features can do you any good, convert the scale from Imperial measurements to metric, or in other words from ounces into grams, if that's the way you prefer calculating your portions.

Step 1

Push the "On/Zero" button to turn the digital Weight Watchers food scale on.

Step 2

Touch the weighing pad lightly to check whether the scale is currently weighing in grams or ounces. The scale will display the weight of your pressure on the pad, along with either "oz" or "g." If the scale displays "g" it is already weighing in grams and you don't need to change anything.

Step 3

Press the "g/oz" button once while the scale is on to change the scale from ounces to grams. The scale should now display a small "g" to confirm that the scale is weighing in grams.
