Frantic schedules can bog you down with constant projects that you just don't have the time to do and clutter your home as well as your mind. All this can be quite overwhelming and cause you to regularly feel worried or edgy, or even struggle with anxiety. But the good news is that it's not a gigantic undertaking. The way to better budget your time requires dedication to clearing the clutter from your life and shrinking your to-do list.

Step 1

Ease up on projects and activities. Make a list of those that you can put aside or let others take care of for you. You'll discover that you'll have more time to relax with your families and friends. Remember that it's important to slow down for the sake of your emotional and physical well-being.

Step 2

Get into a regular routine of doing the same thing at the same time each day. When you do these things over and over again, you'll get them done faster and more efficiently. Leaving everything until the last minute will force you to work twice as hard to complete tasks.

Step 3

Place a few wicker baskets near the door of your home for your keys, cell phone and any other items you need to grab as you run out. Mornings in most households can be especially chaotic. Consider having every member of your family put a small basket of their own in the entrance way of your home to fill with the things they will need as they dash out.

Step 4

Set up one place in your home to keep all your family's information, such as schedules, lunch menus, phone lists and important papers. You can save a lot of time by finding what you need faster when you need it, and you'll feel less stressed.

Step 5

Schedule flexibility into your schedule. Don't book every hour. Allow time for running errands and completing other tasks that may come up. This way you won't be late for appointments or miss any scheduled meetings that you must attend. You'll definitely feel a better sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.
