Gift Ideas for Twin Boys

Special occasions for twin boys call for well-thought-out gifts that work for two. Younger twin boys will often want the same toy, so it might be best to buy two of the same thing for toddlers and preschoolers. Older boys who have learned to share and take turns might do well with toys that can be shared or that require two players or participants.

Sports Equipment

Most boys will enjoy a gift of sports equipment. A couple of ball gloves wrapped with a baseball or two will allow the boys to play catch for hours. Soccer fans will enjoy kicking soccer balls around. Portable soccer goals added to the gift will enable them to scrimmage and practice playing against each other. Other sports equipment ideas are footballs, basketballs or playground-style kick-balls.
Tennis or racquetball gear will also make nice gifts that the twins can use together. Outdoor games like croquet, lawn darts (depending on age and supervision) and badminton will offer hours of enjoyment while allowing the twins the ability to exercise while playing outdoors.

Outdoor Sporting Goods

Older twin boys will enjoy gifts such as bows and arrows, air guns and pellet or BB guns. It would be best to get the parents' approval before buying something like this. You can find bow and arrow sets suited for boys age preschool age to adult. Make sure the set is appropriate to the twin boys' age. Also consider supplying safety gear such as goggles when purchasing this type of gift. A book on proper safety along with the specific item will help ensure the boys use the products in an educated manner.
Guns can be shared and the gift can include refill packages of pellets or BB's, or you can buy each twin their own. Paper targets will round out the gift and will allow the boys something to aim at.

Video Game Systems

Boys of all ages seem to like video game systems. And most seem to feel the more game systems the better. If the boys already have a game system, they'll enjoy additional video games to go along with it. Extra controllers, rechargeable batteries and add-on equipment can round out the system.
Video game systems can be portable, which would allow the boys to take the unit on trips or to appointments, or they can be stationary and hook to the family television. Consoles to organize the different components make a nice gift, too.

Gift Cards

Gift cards to the boys' favorite store will allow them to pick out gifts of their own choosing. You can purchase gift cards for favorite clothing stores, toy stores, favorite restaurants or special activities.
A gift card or season pass to a local amusement park or museum will allow an educational or fun experience that will be remembered for a long time after the special event. Tickets to favorite sports team games or concerts make good gift ideas, too.
