The Chi Machine Foot Swing Massager Exerciser allows you to introduce exercise to your routine without much effort on your part. According to the Chi website, massage can help you achieve better circulation, aid digestion and help you relax. The Chi Machine Foot Swing Massager Exerciser works on your ankles and feet only, using a rocking motion to affect the rest of your body. The addition of the foot massager makes it a more positive and relaxing experience for you.
Step 1
Prepare the area where you are going to use the Chi Machine Foot Swing Massager Exerciser. Put a mat down on the floor so you don't get rug burn from going back and forth. Roll up a towel to put under your knees for comfort, or use a pillow for your head. The key is to feel comfortable and relaxed while using the machine.
Step 2
Sit down, and insert your ankles into the wells of the Chi Machine Foot Swing Massager Exerciser. Your feet should rest on the plate that has the infrared pods and massaging fingers. While still sitting, this may feel awkward; once you lie down, you should feel comfortable.
Step 3
Turn on the foot massager. The massaging fingers will move back and forth on your feet, while the two red pods will heat up for a soothing, heated massage on your feet while the machine works on your body.
Step 4
Leave the Chi Machine Foot Swing Massager Exerciser on the lowest setting. It has an automatic switch that will turn the machine off after 15 minutes. As you become more comfortable with the movement, feel free to dial up the setting every two to three minutes for more intensity. Keep your body relaxed so the wave motion can affect your entire body.
Step 5
Lie on the floor for five minutes once the automatic shut-off has engaged. The Chi website notes that lying still for five minutes allows your neural pathways to integrate the effects of the machine. Lie still and when you get up, do so carefully, as you may experience some vertigo or dizziness.
Step 6
Drink a glass of water immediately following your use of the machine. You may want to keep a water bottle directly beside you and drink it when you are done.
