When looking at diet options for a weight loss plan, the market is flooded with possibilities. Some work through the types of foods a person eats, others focus on exercise and supplements. One method that has gained in popularity is MiracleBurn.

History

MiracleBurn is a supplement product introduced to the market by Excell Now, LLC. The MiracleBurn diet revolves around using this supplement to lose weight. Excell Now produced MiracleBurn by patenting its own form of bitter orange called Advantra-Z, and combined it with Hoodia and a molecule called P57 to create the MiracleBurn formula.

Main Ingredients

The MiracleBurn supplement works mainly through its two active ingredients. The first of these ingredients is bitter orange in the patented form of Advantra-Z. Bitter orange comes as an extract from the bitter orange tree. The second active ingredient is Hoodia. Hoodia is derived from the Hoodia gordonii plant, which is similar to a flowering cactus. The MiracleBurn supplement also uses its own mixture of other vitamin and minerals in the formula including Vitamin B6, biotin, chromium, iodine and potassium.

Function

Once the MiracleBurn formula enters the body, the individual components are broken down and absorbed. The bitter orange works as a fat burner with it's stimulant-like effects that increase the rate of your metabolism. Hoodia is believed to works as an appetite suppressant, reducing cravings, as well as reducing the amount of food it takes for a person to feel full. This reduces overall calorie intake. The supplement's manufacturers also recommend combining the use of the supplement with a "sensible diet and a light-to-moderate exercise program" to help increase the benefits and results.

Considerations

It is important to understand that MiracleBurn is marketed as a dietary supplement. This means that the claims of the product have not been reviewed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and using the product as part of any diet is at a person's own risk. Cost is also a consideration for MiracleBurn, as a single bottle provides a months supply of the product for an average cost of $40 a bottle. The distributers of MiracleBurn do offer an "autoship" program that automatically charges customers and ships a new supply of the product to their door each month.

Side Effects

Although Excell Now, LLC claims there has never been a health issue associated with the product since its introduction to the market, certain active ingredients within the supplement can have potentially serious side effects, especially bitter orange. According to the Mayo Clinic, bitter orange extract acts with stimulant-like properties. This can cause blood pressure and heart rate to increase to unhealthy levels, especially if combined with caffeine or other stimulants. This increase in blood pressure and heart rate has the potential to cause migraines, fainting, and even a deadly stroke or heart attack. The active ingredients in MiracleBurn may also interfere with the actions of prescription medications that a person may be taking, so it is important to talk to a doctor before using this product.
