Methylin is considered to be a brand of methylphenidate. It is a mild stimulant used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in children and adults over the age of 6 and narcolepsy in adults. Used in combination with behavior therapy, Methylin helps control ADHD symptoms such as hyperactivity, impulsiveness and poor attention span. Aside from its many benefits Methylin is also followed by many unpleasant side effects.
Commonly Reported Side Effects
As with any medication, Methylin produces certain side effects that are more common than others. They can have the least effect on your health and may subside the longer you take the medication. If they do not, they need to be reported to your doctor. These include nervousness, loss of appetite, dizziness and drowsiness. You may also suffer from insomnia, nausea, headaches and abdominal pain.
Weight Loss

Tourette causes a conditon known as tics, which causes uncontrolled movements of the neck, arms, mouth, head and legs. In some cases, tics can result by taking Methylin and is considered a serious side effect that needs to be reported immediately to your doctor.
