How to Grow Eyebrows Back

If you accidentally got carried away while tweezing your eyebrows or were the victim of an inexperienced technician while getting them waxed at a salon, there are a few things you can do to help them to grow back. If you waxed or plucked your eyebrows, then bear in mind that eyebrows grow approximately a quarter of an inch a month.

Step 1

Eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss. Many vitamins and minerals are crucial for hair growth. Vitamin B6 and vitamin B1 prevent hair loss by strengthening the roots and vitamin E aids circulation; beta-carotene and the minerals zinc, sulfur and magnesium are also important.

Step 2

Use eyebrow growth products to enhance the growth of eyebrows during the growth cycle. These come in the form of eyebrow stimulators, accelerators and serums. Li Brow contains a blend of protein, vitamin and minerals that stimulate eyebrow hairs (see Resources). Rogaine works by activating dormant hair follicles.

Step 3

Brush your eyebrows with an eyebrow brush to improve blood flow and circulation to that area, which in turn will stimulate hair growth. Brush your eyebrows in the direction of hair growth for a few minutes twice a day. Alternatively, you can massage your eyebrows with your index finger and thumb using circulate motions.

Step 4

Use natural home remedies such as coconut, castor, almond or olive oil--these are thought to promote eyebrow hair growth. Apply coconut or castor oil with a cotton swab before you go to bed. Alternatively, mix almond oil and olive oil in equal parts and apply to the eyebrows. Coconut and almond oils contain sulfur, which promotes hair growth.

  • Use an eyebrow pencil to fill in your eyebrows while waiting for them to grow back.
