Program Description
Building muscle is more than just lifting weights. In fact, motivation and adherence are the major contributors to long-term workout success. It may take up to eight weeks of regular strength training to begin to see a physical change in appearance. Therefore, persistence and staying motivated is imperative.
Actions
1. Keep a training log or journal.
2. Create measurable, appropriate and achievable short and long term goals.
3. Elicit support from friends, family and colleagues.
4. Reward yourself when you reach a goal.
5. Train with a partner or group.
6. Join a gym or class.
7. Change up a routine to reduce boredom.
