Relaxation Technique to Increase Libido for Women

Libido refers to sex drive or sexual desire. It is somewhat common for a woman to experience a low libido at some, usually several, points though out her life. There are many culprits for a low libido, including physical, medical and psychological issues. One major psychological problem that many women face in today's on-the-go society is stress. Stress can make you tired and agitated and lower your sex drive. If stress is at the root of your lack of libido, you can try to use some relaxation techniques to help reduce stress, thus increasing your libido.

Step 1

Listen to music. Choose relaxing, seductive songs and download them to your iPod or make a CD. Turn on the music when you want to decompress from the day and get into a romantic mood. This relaxation technique is best done in conjunction with other techniques as it helps set the atmosphere for an increased libido.

Step 2

Ask your partner to give you a massage. Massage can increase your libido in a couple ways. The massage physically helps blood circulate stimulating your entire body, including your sexual organs, helping you relax. The other benefit is psychological. Getting a massage from your partner will help you connect on an intimate level. It will also help you feel more comfortable in the hands of your partner, helping you lower you inhibitions and stress level.

Step 3

Incorporate meditation into your daily routine. Meditation is effective at reducing stress and anxiety levels and encourages you to live in the present moment. Often the libido is lowered because we can't relax and enjoy the moment and are trapped in far-away thoughts about the kids, bills and work. To meditate, find a quiet place and sit in a comfortable position. Breathe naturally though your nose. Concentrate on only your breathing and nothing else for several minutes or as long as possible. It can be difficult to clear your mind, but with some practice, you will learn how to concentrate on the present moment and alleviate stress.
