How to Cure Woman's Low Libido

It is natural for a woman's libido to change over the years. Relationship issues as well as hormone fluctuations can cause a woman to experience a lack of interest in sex. If you find that you have a low sex drive, you should talk to your doctor. Certain medications or medical conditions may be responsible for your low libido. For example, hormone replacement therapy can cure a low sex drive by increasing testosterone and estrogen levels.

Step 1

Spend time exercising, which can improve your mood and make you feel good about your appearance. Exercise in 30-minute intervals at least three times weekly. Kegel exercises can also help increase a woman's low libido. To perform them, tighten your pelvic muscles for five seconds, then release. Repeat the move regularly.

Step 2

Talk to your partner about sex. According to the MayoClinic, couples who learn to communicate well can improve their sex lives. Talk to your partner about the things you like during sex along with the things you don't like.

Step 3

Try something new in the bedroom. Break out of the routine with different positions and locations. Sex toys and movies can also be used to help improve a woman's sex drive. A new sexy piece of lingerie may do the trick as well.

Step 4

Set the mood. Bringing some romance back into the relationship can be just the thing to cure a low libido. Set up candles in the bedroom, play some romantic music, and prepare some libido-boosting foods, such as chocolate-covered strawberries or oysters.

Step 5

Speak to a sex therapist. If you can't seem to get out of your sexual funk, a therapist may be able to help. They can suggest exercises, reading materials and videos to help your low libido.
