Stomach hair can grow at different lengths and thicknesses, and it can range in color from light to dark. Although it is something that is most associated with men, women can also experience patches of hair. If you are frustrated with your stomach hair and are ready to remove it, you have several options; some take more work than others.
Step 1
Trim down long hair with electric clippers. Place the edge of the clippers close to the skin and run them through the hair, going against the grain of growth.
Step 2
Wash the skin on your stomach and leave it wet to shave the hair off. Apply shaving cream over the entire area. Run a new razor against you skin in short, smooth strokes. Continue in all the areas of the hair and wash your skin again. Dry your stomach and apply a conditioner to keep your skin moisturized.
Step 3
Apply hot wax to your stomach to rip the hair out by the roots. Use the applicator stick that comes with the waxing kit and let the wax set until it is tacky. Flatten the cloth strip over top of it and grab the top edge of the strip with your fingers. Place the fingers of your opposite hand right above the strip and pull down in a fast motion. Repeat in all areas where you want hair removed. You can also get your stomach professionally waxed at a salon.
Step 4
Pluck the hairs out one at a time with a pair of tweezers if you only have a few to remove. Place the tweezers down by the skin and get a firm grip on the hair. Pull straight out in a smooth motion. Do not yank on the hairs as this can cause them to break off.
Step 5
Use a depilatory to remove stomach hair. Wash your skin with warm water and leave it wet. Apply the cream and leave it on for as long as the manufacturer recommends--usually five to 10 minutes. During this time, the active chemicals are breaking down the hair. Use a damp wash cloth to wipe the cream and hair off your skin.
Step 6
Visit a facility that does electrolysis. With this procedure, an esthetician or licensed electrologist will insert a needle into each hair follicle. A surge of electricity then gets sent to the tip where it shocks the root and kills the hair, casing it to fall out. This is a permanent method of hair removal.
