Your bathroom mirror has been unkind to you this morning, and all the other mirrors in the house are following suit. It's time to face the cruel reality that those dark circles under your eyes really are there and they aren't going to go away on their own. This means that you are going to have to take some type of action if you plan on leaving the house today without the embarrassment. Dark circles stem from a number of different causes from not enough sleep to poor diet. Whatever the cause, there's a simple way to get rid of them so you can get on with your day.
Step 1
Place two metal spoons in the refrigerator and allow them to get cold. Take them out and place them on your dark circles while you lay back and relax for at least 15 minutes.
Step 2
Take two thin slices of cucumber or potato and place them over your eyes to cover the dark circles. Allow the potato or cucumber to sit over your eyes for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 3
Take two cold used tea bags and press them firmly with your fingers to squeeze out any excess moisture. Place these on your eyes to cover the circles, and leave them there for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 4
Mix turmeric powder and pineapple juice into a thick paste. Rub the paste over the circles to cover them, and leave it there for 10 to 15 minutes. Wipe the paste away gently with a soft clean damp cloth.
Step 5
Crush mint leaves and place them over the circles around your eyes. Leave the mint on the circles for 20 minutes before wiping them away with a clean cloth and discarding them.
