Body wraps are typically used to soften and nourish skin, tighten loose skin, reduce cellulite, detoxify the body and help in weight loss. You can get these results at home with a homemade body wrap that you would pay hundreds of dollars for in an expensive salon. Popular body wraps include a wide range of ingredients, but clay-based wraps are very good for detoxifying and clarifying the skin, and leaving it soft and smooth.

Step 1

Exfoliate the skin to open the pores and remove impurities. This prepares the skin for the body wrap.

Step 2

Boil 2 cups of water in a pot, add 1 cup of seaweed clay, 1/4 cup of sea salt and 2 tbsp. of olive oil. Stir until you have a paste.

Step 3

Let the mixture cool a bit and then begin to apply it to the body.

Step 4

Wrap your body in towels wherever the paste was applied. Moisten and heat the towels to create a more relaxing experience.

Step 5

Remove the towels after 45 minutes and rinse the paste from your body.

Step 6

Apply a moisturizer all over.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup of seaweed clay
  • 1/4 cup sea salt
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 cups water
  • Towels
