Many people wish that they could grow longer hair, but have difficulty doing so due to aging, genetics, illness or overuse of chemical hair-care products. Fortunately, hair can be encouraged to develop at a faster rate, and to grow in stronger and thicker. Following a regimen that stimulates the hair follicles enables oxygen to reach the developing hair cells, and removes scalp buildup that could be suffocating the follicles. In no time, your hair can be growing longer naturally.
Step 1
Stimulate the hair follicles by massaging the scalp with tea tree and castor oil. Pour 2 tbsp. of castor oil into your hand, and drizzle 3 drops of tea tree oil into it. Spread the oils into the scalp, and massage it in vigorously for three to four minutes. Shampoo the hair as usual. Massage the scalp with oils once per day.
Step 2
Encourage oxygen to reach the pores by brushing the hair vigorously with a prong hairbrush. Place a prong hairbrush onto your scalp, and brush it around in circular motions for at least 10 minutes. Repeat twice per day; once in the morning and again at night.
Step 3
Remove scalp buildup that could suffocate the hair follicles by applying a clarifying shampoo. Wet the hair thoroughly, and spread 2 tbsp. of clarifying shampoo onto the scalp. Use the fingers to massage the shampoo in, which will create a rich lather. After two to three minutes, rinse out the hair and scalp well with warm water. Repeat twice per day during the first week, then reduce the frequency to once per day thereafter.
Tips and Warnings
- Tea tree oil and castor oil penetrate the scalp, and can increase the effectiveness of a head massage in stimulating the hair follicles. When the hair follicles are stimulated, more blood can flow to the area and help the hair cells develop faster. When the hair is vigorously brushed with a prong hairbrush, oxygen can reach the hair follicles more easily, helping the hair cells to develop at a faster rate. Using a clarifying shampoo removes dead skin cells and scalp buildup that could suffocate the follicles, causing hair to fall out or not grow in as fast. By removing this buildup, hair is enabled to develop more quickly. It is helpful to shampoo the hair with a clarifying shampoo twice per day for the first week to remove the most buildup, then once per day thereafter to maintain a clear scalp.
