Starbucks offers an assortment of food and beverages including Frappuccinos, espresso drinks, smoothies and hot panini sandwiches. Learn the menu's nutritional information and make an informed decision when your stop by a Starbucks. Don't assume the beverages are a healthier option--some drinks contain more calories than the sandwiches.

Frappuccinos

The following nutritional values pertain to a 16 oz. serving of each beverage. A caramel Frappuccino and a mocha Frappuccino each contain 380 calories and 15 g of fat. The cinnamon Dolce Frappuccino contains 170 calories and 14 g of fat while the coffee Frappuccino contains 190 calories and 2.5 g of fat. A Java Chip Frappuccino contains 460 calories and 19 g of fat. A Cafe Vanilla Frappuccino Light contains 190 calories and 1 g of fat while a Caramel Brulee Light Frappuccino contains 180 calories and 1 g of fat.

Espresso Drinks

Starbucks offers many espresso- and milk-based drinks. The following nutritional values are for a 16 oz. serving of each beverage. A Caffe Latte contains 190 calories and 7 g of fat while a cappuccino contains 120 calories and 4 g of fat. A caramel Macchiato contains 240 calories and 7 g of fat and a pumpkin spice Latte contains 380 calories and 13 g of fat. The Tazo Chai Tea Latte contains 240 calories and 4 g of fat while the gingerbread Latte contains 320 calories and 13 g of fat. A Skinny Caramel Latte contains 120 calories and no fat.

Smoothies

Starbucks offers five types of smoothies that each contain fiber and protein powder. A banana chocolate Vivanno smoothie contains 270 calories and 4.5 g of fat while a banana chocolate Vivanno smoothie with an espresso shot contains 250 calories and 4 g of fat. The orange mango banana Vivanno smoothie contains 260 calories and 2 g of fat. Add matcha (powdered green tea) to it and tack on 40 more calories and deduct half a gram of fat. A strawberry banana Vivanno smoothie contains 280 calories and 1.5 g of fat.

Hot Panini Sandwiches

Starbucks sells a line of hot panini sandwiches that each contain less than 400 calories. The four sandwiches include the Chicken Santa Fe Panini, the Ham & Swiss Panini, the Roasted Tomato & Mozzarella Panini and the Tuna Melt Panini.

Customized Drinks

Drinks are made to order at Starbucks--subtracting or adding new ingredients changes the caloric content of each beverage. Starbucks' website allows readers to customize drinks and recalculate the nutritional information.
