The body wrap is a popular spa treatment that hydrates, nourishes, softens and smooths the skin. It is also used to tighten and tone, reduce cellulite and aid in weight loss. While a spa body wrap can cost hundreds of dollars, you can make your own treatment at home for much less. A clay-based body wrap is easy to make and clay contains minerals and nutrients that detoxify, tone and cleanse skin of impurities while leaving it soft and smooth.

Step 1

Boil 2 cups of distilled water in a pot on the stove.

Step 2

Add all ingredients and mix well. Let the mixture cool.

Step 3

Exfoliate the skin with a loofah or scrub. This opens the pores and prepares them for the body wrap.

Step 4

Apply the clay mixture to the body, spreading it in an even layer.

Step 5

Wrap your body in towels wherever you have applied the mixture.

Step 6

Rest for 45 minutes, and then unwrap the towels and rinse the clay from you body.

Step 7

Apply a moisturizer.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup of seaweed clay
  • 1/4 cup sea salt
