When playing basketball on a dusty court, you might realize partway through the game that the dust is affecting the traction of your basketball shoes. Even on clean surfaces, bad traction can lead to injury, possibly even ending a career. Fortunately, improving your basketball shoes' traction is a simple affair--and can be accomplished in just moments, even court-side.
Step 1
Soak a towel in B Sharp Traction Fluid, or some other traction fluid for shoes. Use about an eighth of the bottle.
Step 2
Wipe the soles of your basketball shoes on the soaked towel. The fluid will remove dust and grime from your shoes, at the same time increasing the sole's traction.
Step 3
Use the soaked towel regularly throughout the duration of the entire basketball game.
Step 4
Throw the towel in the laundry machine, like any other dirty garment. The fluid (and dirt, grime and dust) should wash out normally, ready for use during your next game.
Tips and Warnings
- If you don't have access to B Sharp Traction Fluid or some other fluid, a simple damp rag, while not as affective as the fluid, will nevertheless provide increased traction for your basketball shoes. Simply wipe your feet on the damp rag, making sure they're dry before stepping onto the court.
