Hair loss is an unfortunate part of life for many people, and is caused by a number of factors, including illness or disease, heredity, the overuse of haircare products or simply as a natural part of aging. Luckily, hair follicles can be stimulated to grow in more hair by following a routine that cleanses the scalp thoroughly, massages the scalp to encourage blood circulation, and brushes the scalp to increase oxygen supply to the growing hair cells.

Step 1

Shampoo your scalp thoroughly using a clarifying shampoo. Wet your hair thoroughly with water, and spread 2 to 3 tbsp. of clarifying shampoo onto your scalp. Massage the shampoo around your scalp for around three to four minutes to create a rich lather. Rinse out your hair with water. Repeat twice per day for the first week, then once per day after that.

Step 2

Massage your scalp vigorously using non-comedogenic and antibacterial oils. Pour 1 tbsp. of castor oil and 3 drops of tea tree oil into your hand, and spread it onto your scalp. Massage your scalp vigorously for at least five minutes, moving your fingers in slow, circular motions, then shampoo your hair as usual. Massage your scalp with oils once per day.

Step 3

Brush your scalp using a prong-style hair brush. Place the prongs of the brush onto your scalp, and move it around you head in circular movements. Focus on the areas that are thinning or balding the most. Continue to brush your scalp for around five minutes, covering the entire scalp. Brush your scalp with a prong-style hair brush once per day.
